The Finance Ministry has published on its website the “Principal areas of focus for the public finances, tax, customs and tariffs policy in 2019-2021”. Among other things, it is planned to create a uniform information environment for customs authorities and to digitalise tax administration. The Tax Code demands that tax laws having an adverse effect on businesses or individuals should be approved in advance before the beginning of the next calendar year.
The Russian Ministry for the Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources (“Minprirody”) published a draft of amendments to the environmental fee rates. Starting from 2019, it is planned to increase the rates on all 54 groups of goods and packing that are to be disposed of once they no longer have their consumer properties.
