The issue of quotas for employing foreign nationals in 2012
Pepeliaev Group reminds companies intending to hire foreign employees in 2012 that they need to submit their applications (the “Applications”)* stating their need for foreign employees no later than 29 April 2011.
Submitting the Application on time is a necessary prior condition for permissions to be issued to employ foreign nationals as well as individual work permits for foreign employees. Moreover, unfortunately, even submitting an application is not a guarantee of receiving such permissions. The Applications received will be used to determine quotas for hiring foreign nationals in 2012 [1]. To avoid emergencies we would recommend that you apply no later than a middle of April 2011.
Under the Russian Government’s Resolution No. 783 “On the procedure for executive state authorities determining the need to engage foreign workers and the creation of quotas for foreign citizens to be employed in the Russian Federation” dated 22 December 2006, applications will be accepted between 11 January and 29 April 2011 from employers who intend to employ foreign workers in 2012 or who wish to apply for an update of the 2011 quota.
