Regulatory developments

The Russian Government has submitted to the State Duma draft law No. 448566-8 concerning the return of a number of tax benefits to business which were in effect before certain provisions were suspended of double taxation treaties with a number of countries.

The Finance Ministry has published the Main Objectives of the Budgetary, Tax, and Customs and Tariffs Policy for 2023 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026.

The Official Secretary and Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Alexey Sazanov has highlighted the tasks of the Russian Federal Tax Service.

The head of the Russian Federal Tax Service Daniil Egorov has summarised the performance results of the Service over the first eight months of 2023.

The list of electronic services that are required for the transition to be made for levying indirect taxes on such services in the country of destination has been determined during the session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Russia and Turkey are not yet planning on negotiating amendments to the double taxation treaty.
