On 18 February the AAE held the Antitrust Forum with the support of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service. Experts discussed the most topical issues of the development of competition in Russia and abroad: whether approaches to the antitrust regulation of ecosystems should be changed; what new mechanisms of economic analysis are applied to evaluating the markets of digital platforms; whether private antitrust claims have an unfortunate fate; the present and future of public procurement control, etc.
Elena, a Partner at Pepeliaev Group, moderated the session “Collective dominance: guilty without fault?” In the course of the discussion, experts examined whether the institution of collective dominance has the right to exist in the Russian construction, and what the prospects are for its development. Within the framework of the session, there was also a discussion of what approaches of the regulator and courts need to be amended, and how this institution can be and needs to be adjusted.
