Elena Sokolovskaya has taken part in the conference “The prospects for developing antimonopoly compliance in Russia”
Elena Sokolovskaya, Head of Pepeliaev Group’s Antitrust Practice, took part in the conference “The prospects for developing antimonopoly compliance in Russia” organised by the newspaper Vedomosti on 30 August 2017 in Moscow.
She was involved in the discussion “Problems of implementing antimonopoly compliance in corporations: the advisers’ viewpoint” in the framework of the session “Antimonopoly compliance: best corporate practices”.
Topics discussed during the session included organisational forms of antimonopoly compliance, specific aspects of programmes for companies in different industries, key compliance-related risks, primary performance indicators for a compliance system and criteria for evaluating it, as well as many others. Those involved in the session also discussed best practices for building up an antimonopoly compliance system in Russia.
Representatives of major Russian and international companies including MegaFon, Unilever, Sibur, Yandex, and X5 Retail Group, participated in the discussion on the problems of implementing antimonopoly compliance within corporations.
Elena Sokolovskaya has been specialising in the area of antimonopoly law for more than 17 years. She has extensive experience of holding antimonopoly audits and implementing compliance, and of providing support to clients in the context of scheduled and unscheduled inspections conducted by Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (the "FAS"). She represents clients both before the FAS and in court in all cases within the FAS’s competence.
