Andrey specializes in tax, administrative and civil law. He has more than twenty years of experience of advising major Russian and foreign companies on various legal issues, including legal support of large-scale projects in the raw materials and processing industries. Andrey has extensive experience of representing clients before state executive authorities and the state commercial ('arbitration') courts.
Projects include:
successfully representing the interests of a mining and processing plant in the state commercial court regarding whether it was lawful to assess profit tax in view of the failure to meet the requirements applied to RIP participants;
many years of experience of providing advice to participants of regional investment projects regarding the issues connected with applying the law on RIP, including the evaluation of whether they meet the established criteria, tax and other legal risks connected with implementing projects, forming investment policy statements and amending them;
providing comprehensive legal support for the opening of a subsidiary of a major foreign hydrogen production company;
protecting the interests of major foreign entities in the state commercial court regarding the recovery of customs duties that had been overpaid when implementing PSA;
providing legal support under a project that involved an oil pipeline being constructed, including legal advice and representing clients in the context of civil, land and environmental legislation;
Andrey has more than 10 years of experience in legal support for large corporations, i.e. customs agents, regarding the customs clearance of goods, and in defending corporations in administrative offence cases.
