What she specialises in

Ekaterina specialises in advising clients on: civil law matters; conflicts of laws issues; the resolution of disputes in state courts, before arbitral tribunals and in international arbitration proceedings; and the recognition and enforcement of the awards of foreign courts and arbitral tribunals. 

She has more than eight years’ experience of litigating various categories of disputes for clients, and representing clients at the pre-trial stage of resolving conflicts.

Her main achievements

Ekaterina's professional experience includes defending both Russian and foreign clients in more than 200 cases.
Among her achievements are:

  • successfully protected the interests of a Russian poultry enterprise that formed part of a major Russian agribusiness group before the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, in a dispute in which the client sought to recover debt and obtain the reimbursement of its losses arising under a supply contract with an American counterparty; 
  • successfully represented a well-known Dutch architecture bureau in disputes with a major Russian property developer in cases that involved the recovery of debt and the protection of copyright in relation to the development of architectural designs for the Moscow City multifunctional business complex and the Barvikha Hills gated community, the cases taking place before, respectively, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  • successfully represented a major Japanese company, a global leader in information and communications technologies, in the context of a dispute in which it sought to recover debt under a supply agreement, the proceedings taking place before the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  • acting for a major Russian oil and gas company, was involved in proceedings that set a legal precedent in terms of having a decision, handed down in our client's favour by a Russian state commercial court, recognised and enforced in Israel.
