What she specialises inJulia specialises in organising the translation process and establishing liaison with clients and contractors, as well as in translating tax law documents, draft laws and regulations, legal articles intended for publication, marketing materials and so on. She has more than 14 years of experience of working as a translator. Julia speaks fluent English. She also studied Spanish and French.
Her main achievementsAmong Julia’s projects are:
- translated, for a major automotive concern, an order of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development amending the procedure defining the concept of the “industrial assembly” of motor vehicles;
- translated, for a Dutch supplier of construction equipment, a number of documents in court proceedings to have an award of a foreign court recognised and enforced in Russia;
- translated the draft law on the restriction of tobacco smoking;
- as an interpreter, Julia has many times participated in international academic and practical tax law conferences, international competition and law forums, and events organised by the Russian Chamber of Tax Consultants and the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She interpreted several presentations of a judge of the US Tax Court, as well as at a meeting of Pepeliaev Group’s client with the Head of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service, and many more significant events.
Julia graduated with honours from the Kuban State University specialising in Roman and Germanic philology, and also attended a course in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK).
