On 10 March 2010 the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation (Minprirody) approved in Order No. 64 the list of proposed sites in 2010 to be granted for use for the purpose of geological exploration at the cost of subsoil users.
The list includes 59 plots with hydrocarbon deposits (oil, gas). The order specifies, inter alia, the location of the plot, its name, total area and geographical position.
Order No. 64 dated 10 March 2010 and the approved List can be found on Minprirody’s web site at the following Internet address: http://www.mnr.gov.ru/.
We would like to remind you that, pursuant to clause 3.2 of the Procedure for Considering Applications to Obtain the Right to Use the Subsoil for Geological Exploration (with the exception of the subsoil at federal subsoil plots) approved by Order No. 61 of the Russian Minprirody dated 15 March 2005, a company should submit an application to obtain the right to use the subsoil for the geological exploration of the subsoil resources at its expense no later than 60 days after the official publication of the list of the sites to be offered for use starting with the date of the first publication.
The deadline for submitting applications is 14 May 2010.
Applications should be submitted to relevant local departments of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra).
Details on the content of the application and procedure for submitting an application to obtain the right to use the subsoil for geological exploration at the applicant’s expense are specified in aforementioned Order No. 61 of the Russian Minprirody dated 15 March 2005.
