On 31 May 2016, as part of the Russia-China business forum for small and medium-sized enterprises, Pepeliaev Group conducted the round table discussion “Taxation of Chinese Investors: benefits under Russian law and double taxation treaties. Applying benefits in practice and mistakes that should not be repeated”.
Rustem Ahmetshin, Senior Partner of Pepeliaev Group, and Michael Liu, Senior Legal Consultant of Hylands Law Firm, moderated the discussion.
The participants looked at the Russia-China double taxation treaty, went over the current benefits available to the Chinese investors, described successful investment projects in Russia and discussed the mistakes to be avoided.
