Chambers and Partners nominates Pepeliaev Group for the 2014 Russian Law Firm of the Year award
Chambers and Partners, the international directory of law firms, has nominated Pepeliaev Group in the category of Best National Law Firm of the Year 2014. The 2014 Chambers Europe Awards ceremony will take place in London on 24 April 2014.
The Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence reflect which law firms occupy the leading positions in key areas of the law. The list of Chambers Europe Awards nominees is drawn up annually and is based on data relating to a firm's large-scale projects, its strategic growth and exceptional client service. Pepeliaev Group has been included in the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence shortlist for the last three years.
In 2013, Pepeliaev Group continued working on a number of major projects including legal support provided in relation to the football World Cup to be held in Russia in 2018. Working with FIFA is an integrated project which brings together practice groups across the firm and involves various items of Russian federal legislation being amended. In addition, Pepeliaev Group's lawyers have provided legal support for a number of major transactions with an overall value of more than 3 billion US Dollars, including: SCA acquiring the European division of Georgia-Pacific; and United Financial Group acquiring a majority stake in a large Russian pharmaceutical manufacturer (this transaction marked the the beginning of a major pharmaceutical holding being created in Russia).
