Elena Lvova has addressed the “Data Analysis In Medicine” conference

Elena Lvova, a senior associate in Pepeliaev Group’s pharmaceutical and healthcare practice, has addressed the 1st International Academic and Practical Conference “Data Analysis In Medicine”. The conference took part in St. Petersburg and was dedicated to one of the most topical inter-disciplinary areas of modern science - the use of methods for processing and analysing large amounts of medical data in order to increase the accessibility of medical aid to patients and to create additional tools to facilitate doctors’ performance.

During the event, the experts discussed the following issues: practical experience of handling big data in various medical disciplines; the main tasks of digitalising healthcare against the backdrop of big data; the experience of creating software to be used for diagnosing and monitoring diseases in Russian scientific and research centres; applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to resolve medical tasks and support doctoral decisions; building a synergistic way of handling data between technical and medical institutions; and other issues related to digital medicine.

During her speech, Elena Lvova addressed experimental legal regimes in healthcare as one of the possible ways to implement existing software solutions which use artificial intelligence in practice. She showcased this with the example of projects to be implemented by the end of 2021 within the framework of experimental legal regimes in healthcare.
