Elena Sokolovskaya spoke at the annual Antimonopoly Forum held by the Russian Corporate Counsel Association

On 15 March, the Non-profit Partnership Corporate Counsel Association held its annual Antimonopoly Forum supported by the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (“FAS”) and the Eurasian Economic Commission. Experts discussed the fifth antimonopoly package, the abolition of immunity for intellectual property, the draft clarifications of the Presidium of the FAS with regard to analysing competition on commodity markets, the implementation of the National Plan for Developing Competition, issues in the practice of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Commission’s plans for the future. 

Elena Sokolovskaya, Head of Pepeliaev Group’s Antimonopoly Practice, spoke at the Forum about the legal regulation of price algorithms drawing on the example of the law administration experience of the US, the EU and Russia. She analysed in detail the issue of classifying antimonopoly offences using different types of algorithms and covered the FAS’s corresponding legislative initiatives.
