Invitation to ‘School for Taxpayers’
On 27 September in Moscow, the St Petersburg State Youth Theatre on Fontanka, supported by Pepeliaev Group, will be performing the comedy ‘School for Taxpayers’ (L'École des contribuables) by the French playwrights Louis Verneuil and Georges Berr. The performance is part of the Youth Theatre’s anniversary tour.
‘School for Taxpayers’ is a unique work on a fiscal theme. The hero puts all his effort into returning the love of his charming wife but on the way he sets up a school for taxpayers and destroys the economic system of the French Republic. According to Sergey Pepeliaev, the Managing Partner of Pepeliaev Group, “…the play does not only offer a captivating story, amusing situations and jokes that hit the spot. There are also deep thoughts, a subtle subtext and accurate observations from the authors, while the conclusions will be useful to anyone interested in taxation issues.”

The Youth Theatre’s tour, entitled “A theatrical journey from Petersburg to Moscow”, will last from 20 to 30 September with performances at the Russian Academy Youth Theatre and the Hermitage Theatre.
The Moscow premiere of the play ‘School for Taxpayers’ will take place at the Hermitage Theatre (3 Karetny Row, Hermitage Gardens). The play begins at 7 p.m. and is in three acts.
