Natalia Prisekina spoke at the SCO’s Arbitration Legal Forum in China

Natalia Prisekina, a Partner at and Head of the Far East Office of Pepeliaev Group, has taken part in the Arbitration Legal Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The event was organised by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region /XUAR and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade's Xinjiang Committee, under the auspices of leading arbitration institutions of the SCO and Central Asia countries. The Forum was held on 25 April in Urumqi (PRC), devoted to the topic of: “Gathering Forces for Arbitration Cooperation & Embarking on a New Journey under the Rule of Law”.

Natalia gave a speech on the development potential of international arbitration and international cooperation in the above field. She also spoke about the International Commercial Arbitration Court and the Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, which are operating successfully in Russia.

Such topics as resolving disputes in emerging industries that are connected with the SCO as well as the integration of AI into international arbitration were also discussed at the Forum.

Moreover, a meeting was held on 24 April between the attendees of the Forum and the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region /XUAR. Here, Natalia delivered a speech dedicated to cooperation and mutual exchange in the field of law and dispute resolution within the framework of the SCO.
