New Partner in Dispute Resolution and Mediation Practice, Pepeliaev Group

In August 2010 Denis Bykov was appointed partner of Pepeliaev Group in charge of the Dispute Resolution and Mediation Practice.

Denis has been working as a lawyer for more than 10 years. He joined Pepeliaev Group in 2007, rising fr om lawyer to partner. Denis litigates numerous cases in courts of all instances, including the Supreme Arbitration Court, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court. He focuses on commercial consulting and judicial dispute resolution, as well as the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards within the scope of international commercial arbitration. Denis also has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of virtually all areas of corporate litigation; he successfully litigated a number of complex bankruptcy cases and has defended clients in criminal proceedings on economic crimes. In the sphere of IP and protection of competition Denis headed a number of major judicial projects, including protection of rights to trade marks and service marks, as well as appellations of origin, bans on the dissemination of misleading advertisements, copyright protection, introduction of measures to prevent the disclosure of confidential information and challenges against the illegal registration of domain names.

Denis also assisted in introducing the practice of recognising and enforcing foreign court decisions in Russia, where there were no relevant international treaties.
