Pepeliaev Group adds Lead Associates to key practice groups

In March 2011, Pepeliaev Group has strengthened two of its key practice areas by appointing Lead Associates.

Yulia Litovtseva is a Lead Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Mediation Practice, having previously worked as a Judge in the Kaluga Region Arbitration Court. Ilya Mazurov a Lead Associate in the Land Law, Real Estate and Construction Practice. He was previously an associate with CMS International B.V.

Before joining Pepeliaev Group, Yulia Litovtseva was a Judge in the Kaluga Region Arbitration Court for nine years, and, moreover, also worked as an attorney-at-law for nine years. Yulia has significant experience in resolving corporate disputes, including those involving corporate registration, reorganisation and liquidation; title to equity interests; invalidation of transactions entered into by legal entities; the ownership of real estate and state registration of title to it; credit legal relations and disputes arising from relations governed by public law (appeals against the decisions and actions of public officers and agencies, tax disputes).

Yulia also practises business law in all areas, and has experience drafting sale and purchase agreements, leases, investment agreements, general contractor and sub-contractor agreements (public procurement), and agency agreements. She has also provided legal support on M&A transactions and on issues connected with bankruptcy procedures.
 
Ilya Mazurov has joined Pepeliaev Group from the Moscow representative office of the international law firm CMS International B.V. (formerly CMS Cameron McKenna).

Ilya has an extensive track record in giving legal advice on issues connected with town planning and environmental protection legislation; transactions involving land plots and commercial real estate; legal support for construction and investment projects in various sectors of the economy, including financing transactions for existing facilities and those under construction involving major Russian and international banks; dispute resolution in the land, real estate and construction sector and in respect of relationships under leases.

Ilya has experience of drafting various types of agreements relating to the use and transfer of real estate: sale and purchase agreements, mortgages, leases, management agreements and general contractor agreements. He also is well versed in conducting due diligence exercises.

Bolstering these practices in this way will allow the firm an even greater ability to provide a prompt and integrated response to its clients instructions.
