Pepeliaev Group forms alliance with Russin & Vecchi

Leading law firms Pepeliaev Group and Russin & Vecchi have formed a strategic alliance aimed at providing legal support to clients at Primorsky Krai and in the Russian Far East generally. 

Within the framework of their alliance, the two firms will apply the experience and knowledge they have accumulated over many years, finding common areas of interest which will allow them to continue to work together on legal projects and business development in the Far East region. 

The alliance’s representatives provide legal support in all substantive areas of law, including such areas like the fuel and power industry, natural resources law, transport, construction, tourism, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecoms, marine law, agriculture and timber processing.  

The firms have already started to collaborate actively in the context of the alliance. At the start of April, they held a seminar in Vladivostok dedicated to ‘Legal Aspects of Doing Business in the Russian Far East in 2014’. During this event, topics coming under the microscope included tax difficulties, amendments to the Civil Code, and issues occurring as a result of the move towards ‘deoffshorization’, along with many other matters of interest to businesses in the region.

During this event, the lawyers of Pepeliaev Group and Russin & Vecchi showed the extensive opportunities open to the alliance to provide legal services in all branches of economic activity in the Far East region. Those taking part in the seminar included representatives from the Consulates General of South Korea and the USA, as well as heads of legal and senior managers from foreign companies doing business in the Far East, and senior figures from companies in the region.
