Pepeliaev Group heads the 2012 Chambers Europe Awards
Pepeliaev Group has been nominated as best law firm in Russia in 2012 by law firm ratings agency Сhambers Europe. The 2012 Chambers Europe Awards ceremony will take place in Amsterdam on 10 May 2012.
The list of nominees for the Chambers Europe Awards is compiled annually based on information regarding major matters, the speed of a firm’s growth, the quality of client service it offers and client feedback. In particular, the publication commended Pepeliaev Group in 2012 for its project on behalf of FIFA, providing legal support in relation to the staging of the football World Cup in Russia in 2018. Pepeliaev Group lawyers began work while the bidding process was under way to select the host country for the 2018 World Cup. At FIFA’s request, the firm reviewed the legal documents included in the Russian Federation’s bid to check their compliance with FIFA’s requirements and with the provisions of Russian law. This is an integrated project, involving many of the firm’s practice areas, and at the next stage Pepeliaev Group’s lawyers are involved in drafting the Federal Law On the Hosting and Staging of the 2018 FIFA Football World Cup and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Russian Federation. The work on the project is being carried out jointly with the World Cup Organising Committee in close contact with state authorities.
