Pepeliaev Group is Best Russian Law Firm 2011
Pepeliaev Group has won the international prize Best Russian Law Firm 2011. The awards ceremony took place on 23 June in Paris as part of the annual International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards.
Involved in the 2011 event were Head Counsels, Managing Partners and Practice Heads representing more than 200 major law firms from 20 countries across the world. The leading law firms and lawyers for each area at the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards 2011 were selected according to location, industry sector and area of law by a panel of experienced lawyers applying rigorous standards. The panel was comprised of representatives of major Fortune 500 corporations which are first-hand consumers of legal services. The panel for Russia in 2011 comprised representatives from companies such as: Ingersoll Rand, Vimpelcom, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, Sollers Group, Sberbank, Hewlett-Packard, Integra Group, TKB BNP, and The Coca Cola Company.
Among the law firms honoured in various countries were firms such as Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; Chadbourne & Parke; Ashurst; Loyens & Loeff; Simmons & Simmons; and Salans.
“The annual forum is not just for recognising the merits of those in the legal services industry – it also provides a unique opportunity to exchange experience and fresh ideas with colleagues from other firms,” believes Sergey Pepeliaev, the Managing Partner of Pepeliaev Group. In terms of providing legal services on tax matters in Russia, Сhambers Europe has more than once hailed Pepeliaev Group as the undisputed leader and Managing Partner Sergey Pepeliaev as Russia’s top tax lawyer – a Band Star (i.e. absolute leader).
The results of the Russian ratings agency RA Expert for 2003 to 2010 show that Pepeliaev Group has been classed year in, year out as the leading legal adviser among Russian legal and consulting firms.
