Pepeliaev Group participates in the programme for supporting small business

Pepeliaev Group has closed a public contract with the government of the City of Moscow to provide legal and analytical support to the Headquarters for protecting lawful rights and interests of business entities in Moscow. The Headquarters’ activities are supervised by the City of Moscow Department for science, industrial policy and entrepreneurship.

When the Moscow government places an order, Pepeliaev Group’s lawyers will review the legal aspects of the applications submitted to the Headquarters by small business entities seeking to handle difficult matters. Within the framework of the contract, Pepeliaev Group will help representatives of the state authorities to identify endemic problems inherent in regulating the activities of business entities, and will analyse the statutory basis and administrative and judicial decisions in order to develop and implement ideas of how to improve the investment climate in Moscow. As independent experts, the lawyers will take part in the sittings of the Moscow government dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship.

Starting from July 2013, Pepeliaev Group is participating in the Alfa Bank programme for the legal support of small business. Each entrepreneur who opens a bank account in any region of Russia may receive legal advice from Russia’s leading law firms.

The programme aims to grant small business entities an opportunity to receive top-quality legal advice and answers to the most urgent legal issues. The programme is in place to help companies which cannot afford to having an in-house legal counsel or to engage major legal firms on a regular basis. An entrepreneur may seek advice for one year after the relevant certificate is issued.

Under the support programme, each entrepreneur who has opened a bank account may receive legal advice in the following spheres: supporting real estate transactions; administrative and legal support of business in settling claims from regulatory bodies; representing the client before courts and tax authorities; reorganising legal entities; preparing lawsuits or claims in connection with sale and purchase agreements, supply agreements, etc. not being performed.
