Pepeliaev Group has topped the ‘Tax Law Firm of the Year’ category in the Best Lawyers independent international ratings.
In this category, the accolade goes to a single law firm in Russia which is the leader in this area of practice. Various factors are considered when the title is awarded, the following among them: the number of lawyers commended in the Best Lawyers ratings within this practice area, the number of offices, whether lawyers of the firm are recognised in the ‘Lawyer of the Year’ category, as well as the scope and depth of its expertise and the number of practice groups within the firm.
In the summer of 2016, Best Lawyers confirmed that Pepeliaev Group has the status of Russia’s Top Listed Firm in Tax. The reviewers of Best Lawyers set great store by the professional achievements of managing partner Sergey Pepeliaev, as well as senior partners Rustem Ahmetshin and Ivan Khamenushko, partner Valentina Akimova, and head of the tax practice in the St Petersburg office, Sergey Sosnovsky.
