Pepeliaev Group has been appointed as legal counsel to retailer Kingfisher (owner of the Castorama brand) in Russia

Pepeliaev Group has been chosen as one of the Russian legal advisers to British retailer Kingfisher plc. In Russia the company operates through Castorama DIY and home improvement stores. Our lawyers will provide legal advice to the client on the following key areas of expertise: corporate and commercial law; and real estate. 

The selection process lasted for nine months and covered five jurisdictions: Russia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, and Romania. As a result, the number of law firms comprising Kingfisher's legal panel has been cut from 25 to 17. 

Kingfisher Group legal director Elizabeth Messud said: “Our new, streamlined, legal panel will allow us to develop better working relationships with each of the successful firms to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services and to ensure we get the best value for our spend on legal services, from a core group of specialists who really understand Kingfisher.”
