Pepeliaev Group’s website was the most frequently cited in 2012

The website of Pepeliaev Group, at www.pgplaw.ru, was the most frequently cited website in 2012 out of all Russian law firms. The Russian Agency of Legal and Court Information, known by the Russian acronym ‘RAPSI’, compiled the ratings in December 2012.

RAPSI’s research for the ratings is designed to determine how many visits and references on the web are made to the websites of leading law firms active on the Russian market. 

RAPSI’s list of companies included in the ratings was put together based on statistics and a survey of a group of experts comprising independent practising lawyers, PR specialists in the field of law and journalists who cover commercial litigation. Tools from the search engines Yandex and Google were used to carry out the research. RAPSI’s know-how, previously used to assess the commercial courts, was the methodology used when compiling the ratings. One hundred law firms were chosen to be included in the ratings, among them: PWC, Baker & McKenzie, White & Case LLC, Salans, Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, Chadbourne & Parke LLP, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Linklaters.

Pepeliaev Group redesigned its website in 2012 in the context of an overall rebranding of the firm. The site was created on the modern Bitrix platform, and in addition to information about the firm, its employees and practice areas, it offers regular updates on new developments in legislation, trends in commercial court practice, analytical overviews and bulletins, articles and commentaries by our lawyers, information about conferences and seminars in which our lawyers are taking part and so on. This helped to draw almost 10 million visitors to the site in 2011-2012. 

«2012 was our anniversary: Pepeliaev Group was ten years old,” comments the firm’s Marketing Director Ekaterina Kleimenova. “That created even more interest in our website.” Ekaterina believes that the site’s success lies in the fact that it allows visitors to discover the most up-to-date developments and trends in both Russian legislation and court and administrative decisions. “As well as news, we place on the firm’s website a large amount of analytical materials and legislation overviews in both Russian and English,” she explains. 

Pepeliaev Group has pages that are regularly updated on all social networks: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

“Last year was momentous in the legal sector, notable for a raft of amendments to legislation and new landmarks in case law,” believes Pepeliaev Group’s PR Director Sergey Kochetov. “Projects handled by our lawyers often become important precedents, and we readily share the fruits of our labour with the professional community and the mass media”.
