Pepeliaev Group to take part in the business and entertainment agendas at the SPILF
Pepeliaev Group’s experts will take an active part in the business agenda of the VI St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF), which will be held in St. Petersburg from 18 to 21 May 2016.
On 19 May from 10:00 to 11:30, the panel session “Transformation of the court system: consensus of the legal community and business” will be held. In conjunction with the experts of the Civic Initiatives Committee and the Institute for Law Enforcement Problems, Pepeliaev Group's lawyers have conducted a full-scale study and identified 12 key problems of the Russian legal system. During the panel session, leading professionals from the legal market and representatives of state bodies, public organisations and large business will speak on the possible ways of handling these problems. Based on an expert vote among those present, a 12-step plan will be devised of specific measures to reform the legal system. All participants will have an opportunity to vote.

On 20 May from 15:30 to 17:30, the Panel session on “Development of legal regulation of economic activity in the Arctic Zone” will be held. During this event, leading experts representing dedicated government bodies, large business and the legal community will discuss the legal aspects of the social and economic development of the Arctic Zone. They will also look over the legal tools used to improve the macro-region’s investment appeal. Pavel Kondukov, Head of the Far East Practice and the Offshore Projects and PSA Group, will be Pepeliaev Group’s speaker at the event.

On 19 May Pepeliaev Group’s Kranoyarsk office, within the SPILF regional agenda, will host the seminar “Implementing the OECD’s plan for fighting against tax base erosion and tax avoidance (BEPS) in judicial practice. First results and significance for taxpayers”. Egor Lysenko, Head of the Siberian Office of Pepeliaev Group, will participate as the keynote speaker.
