Roman Bevzenko is leaving Pepeliaev Group
After working productively here for 10 years, Roman Bevzenko, a partner at Pepeliaev Group, is leaving the firm. Roman will focus on his academic career and will pursue other projects.
Throughout his decade at Pepeliaev Group, Roman has handled a host of high-profile cases. He has defended our clients in the highest courts and has advised Russia’s largest companies on the most complicated of civil-law matters. Roman has also successfully defended his Doctor of Laws dissertation on pledge law, launched his own programme on the firm’s YouTube-channel, and authored several dozen academic articles and expert opinions.
“I am truly grateful that, after the Russian Supreme Commercial Court was dissolved in 2014, Roman accepted my offer to join our firm," comments Sergey Pepeliaev, Managing Partner of Pepeliaev Group. "Roman headed our special projects team, which focuses on resolving the most challenging issues that require in-depth expertise and an understanding of the substance of the law. By working together with Roman, many of our lawyers have gained unparalleled experience. They have taken his approaches on board and have learned how to tackle the most formidable of legal tasks independently. This means that the practice group will continue to function and to provide assistance to our clients. We wish Roman every success in his academic endeavours and are already looking forward to the release of his long-awaited 'weighty tome’ on real estate law. May you maintain your sincere and genuine interest in legal studies, inspire new generations of lawyers and inculcate in them a belief in good and in justice.”
“Over 10 years, Pepeliaev Group has become a home to me," says Roman. "I have learnt a great deal from my colleagues, and not only how to run a big law firm with hundreds of employees. I have also got to grips with the principles of public law, the substance of taxes and much more. I am deeply grateful to Sergey Pepeliaev as well as the other partners and employees of the firm for this memorable journey as well as the precious experience that I have gained here”.
