Top 10 most current trends in Russia’s and Europe’s real estate market in 2011-2012

Within the framework of the annual Expo Real exhibition, which gathers the leading European players in the real estate sector, The Moscow Times newspaper and law firm Pepeliaev Group held the conference ‘Top 10 most current trends in Russia’s and Europe’s real estate market in 2011-2012’. The conference took place on 5 October in Munich at the Moscow Government Stand.

The central theme was Moscow’s expansion and attracting investment, as well as premises, objectives and the implementation plan for the ‘New Moscow’ project. The topic was addressed by Anatoly Valetov, the Deputy Head of the City of Moscow’s Department for External Economic and International Relations.

The participants in the discussion touched on the general trends for the development of the real estate market in Russia and Europe as well as the sectors that are currently the most promising. Oleg Myshkin (FF&PREAH), Tim Millard (Cushman & Wakefield) and Darrell Stanaford (CB Richard Ellis) spoke on this issue.

Pavel Salnikov, Business Development Director at KR Properties, analysed the relationship between supply and demand on the real estate market.

Alexey Konevsky, Head of Land Law, Real Estate and Construction at Pepeliaev Group, looked into new legal developments.

The moderator of the conference was Olga Arhangelskaya, Partner and Head of Real Estate Advisory Services for the CIS at Ernst & Young.

The conference was attended by more than 80 participants, representing international as well as Russian companies.
