Valentina Orlova held a seminar at the Corporate University of Consultant Plus

On 26 April, Valentina V. Orlova, Head of the IP and Trademarks Practice at Pepeliaev Group, held a seminar at Consultant Plus's Corporate University. The seminar was dedicated to “Topical practical issues in the area of IP”.

During her presentation Valentina spoke about the legal protection of know-how, the commercial secret regime, and how to determine the royalty for licensing know-how and computer programs. The participants also discussed such issues as the disposal and licensing of rights to the results of intellectual activity and trademarks, including the specific aspects of licensing and sublicensing contracts, registration actions and typical mistakes an applicant makes when filing a registration application.

Among the participants were experts in various spheres of civil and other branches of law who have for many years been writing and updating practical guides (guidelines and ready-made solutions), analytical overviews of case law, and other practical materials aimed at assisting lawyers, HR managers, accountants and other specialists.
