Authors from 16 largest jurisdictions of the Asia-Pacific Region were invited to participate in this project, and lawyers of the Far Eastern Office of the Pepeliaev Group are the only participants from the Far Eastern district of Russia. In the chapter on Russia, lawyers of the Far Eastern Office of the Pepeliaev Group covered a wide range of currently timely legal issues related to the use of the concept of "force majeure" and the concept of "circumstances of irresistible force" in Russian legislation, as well as the forming litigation practice on cases on force majeure and essential change of circumstances in relation to the coronavirus pandemic, thus having a unique opportunity to show expertise on the international level.
