Advised on all the issues concerning permissions in relation to the drilling unit operating in the continental shelf of the Kara Sea
Advised on all the issues concerning permissions in relation to the drilling unit operating in the continental shelf of the Kara Sea and it being transported (including along the Northern Sea Route), as well as to the operation of supply vessels. This included providing advice on applying the law on the continental shelf, town planning legislation, marine law, the law on crossing the state border, customs legislation, and migration legislation. In addition, our firm drafted requests to relevant ministries and state authorities, assessed sanctions introduced by the European Union, and analysed whether English law could be applied in the event of a dispute before a commercial arbitral tribunal. We also advised on issues relating to obtaining the necessary licences and other permission documents.
