Amendments to legislation on communications, clarifying procedural requirements for connection of and cooperation between telecommunications networks On 26 January 2011, the Russian State Duma passed the first reading of the Draft Law “On amending article 19 of the Federal Law ‘On telecommunications’”. The Draft Law clarifies the procedural requirements for connecting communications networks and for them to cooperate with an operator which occupies a significant position in a general use telecommunications network.

The transmission of publicly accessible mandatory TV and radio channels: the State Duma adopted a draft law in the first reading Pepeliaev Group advises that on 29 October 2010 the Federal Law “On Amending the Federal Law ‘On Communications’” comes into force. This Law amends the legal regulation of transmission of publicly accessible mandatory TV and radio channels.

Broadcasting of mandatory public TV and radio channels: draft law adopted by the State Duma in the first reading Pepeliaev Group advises that on 2 June 2010 the Russian State Duma adopted in the first reading the draft Federal Law “On Amendments to Federal Law No. 126-FZ dated 7 July 2003 ‘On Telecommunications’” on the legal regulation of issues relating to the broadcasting of mandatory public TV and radio channels.
