Sergey specialises in tax law matters and has experience in advising on tax issues and in litigating with the tax authorities.

Sergey has authored a large number of articles on taxation and participated in preparing draft laws designed to improve tax legislation.

His main achievements

Sergey's professional background covers defending clients in more than 300 cases for high-level Russian and international companies.

Projects include:

• resolving complex issues of applying the VAT legislation, laws regulating corporate income tax, excise tax, the taxation of mineral resource use and other laws;

• litigating in the Russian Supreme Commercial ('Arbitration') Court, the Russian Supreme Court and in commercial ('arbitration') courts;

• advising major Russian companies, including those that are state-owned and those with foreign capital, on a wide range of tax law issues, including taxation of securities and many others.
