Alena Kanygina, a senior associate in the tax practice, has been appointed to the position of Counsel at the firm.
For more than 15 years, Alena has specialised in tax law, providing support to major Russian and international companies, as well as to private individuals. Her professional experience spans a wide range of industries, including trade, car manufacturing, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, information technology, and the oil and gas sector.
Alena has substantial experience in tax advisory matters, particularly in relation to how to calculate corporate profit tax, VAT, and personal income tax, as well as how to apply tax incentives and special tax regimes. She provides support for tax audits and represents clients’ interests before tax authorities and in courts, including courts of the highest levels. In addition, she is involved in legislative drafting activities and advises investors on matters of state support.
In her new role, Alena will continue to develop the firm’s tax practice, providing clients with comprehensive legal support and strategic solutions on key taxation matters.
