On 13 May, experts from Pepeliaev Group, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of India in Vladivostok and the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB), held a webinar: “India and the Far East: Opportunities for Trade and Investments”.
The ICIB's President, Mr Manpreet Singh, moderated the event and opened the discussion. He provided a comprehensive assessment of the current economic relationship between India and Russia, highlighting the main trends in how trade between the two countries has been evolving.
Mr Siddarth Gowrav, Consul General of the Republic of India in Vladivostok, was invited to the webinar as a special guest. He, in turn, spoke about the potential of the growing Indian economy and how it drives overall global economic growth.

Lidia Gorshkova, Head of the Banking and Finance Practice at Pepeliaev Group, delivered an overview of special measures in the financial sector in Russia that have been adopted in response to western sanctions.
Victoria Krupina, a Senior Associate in the Far East Office of Pepeliaev Group, discussed the main aspects that investors should bear in mind when they decide to start up a business in Russia.
Stefania Segal, a Senior Associate, Antimonopoly Practice of Pepeliaev Group, outlined the main requirements of antitrust legislation for foreign investors.
Natalia Prisekina, Partner and Head of the Far East Office of Pepeliaev Group, gave a presentation on “Opportunities of arbitration to protect violated rights when doing business”. She also spoke about the firm’s office in Vladivostok.
The speakers also included: Oksana Dergach, head of a department at The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), Andrey Sokiryansky, head of the international cooperation department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Primorye Territory, Artem Batalov, head of the department for corporate clients and financial institutions of PJSC Sberbank’s branch in India, and the head of the representative office of JSC Russian Export Centre in India, among others.
