Yulia Litovtseva, a Partner at Pepeliaev Group and Head of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Anti-Crisis Protection of Business Practice, has been appointed Head of the Expert Centre for Legal Policy in the Field of Bankruptcy and the Financial Rehabilitation of Businesses established by Business Russia.
The Centre was created within the structure of the Expert Chamber of Business Russia by order of its Chairman, Alexey Repik.
According to Yulia Litovtseva, the mission of the Expert Centre is to actively promote the business community’s position before state authorities involved in shaping legal policy in the field of bankruptcy.
“This is particularly important today, when many companies and entire industries are facing financial risks. Businesses now more than ever need a balanced approach to how insolvency procedures are applied and to conditions being created for implementing anti-crisis mechanisms, including without recourse to the courts. Bankruptcy needs to evolve from an ordeal that lasts for years into an efficient and dynamic tool. Our Expert Centre aims to play an active role in transforming this process and helping businesses to make effective use of it.”
Yulia Litovtseva specialises in the anti-crisis protection of business. For more than 30 years she has been providing legal support to clients in bankruptcy cases. Yulia has sound experience of making an expert assessment of management risks, settling bad debts, assisting with and defending transactions and controlling persons in court, including during mediation procedures. Her professional experience includes having served as a bankruptcy judge of the Kaluga Region State Commercial Court for almost a decade, and working as an attorney-at-law for around 15 years while also heading our Bankruptcy and Anti-Crisis Protection of Business Practice.
