Pepeliaev Group will advise Gazprom on the taxation of profit generated by its controlled foreign companies

Pepeliaev Group has been selected to advise Gazprom PJSC; it won in a public tender for advisory services in relation to the taxation of profit generated by the controlled foreign companies of the Gazprom group. 

The project is aimed at devising methodologies for calculating the tax base of Gazprom PJSC in relation to the profit generated by its controlled foreign companies (CFCs) and checking that they comply with criteria set in order to exempt the profit of CFCs from tax. The project also includes preparing template documents required for the calculations.

Pepeliaev Group came out on top in a public tender, ahead of such companies as PwC, Ernst & Young, Deloitte and ALTHAUS Consulting.

One year previously, Pepeliaev Group prevailed in a tender held by Gazprom Export LLC for advisory services relating to similar issues, leaving behind KPMG, PwC, Ernst & Young, FBK and Deloitte.
