Prepared a memo for a major gold-mining company, analysing the procedure and describing the advantages of an investment protection and promotion agreement (IPPA); devised recommendations relating to the IPPA’s conditions on how the terms of a regional investment project (RIP) may be stabilised; analysed the possibility of having the regimes of a RIP and IPPA combined, and the risks of the status of an RIP party being terminated if combined with the IPPA regime.
