Defended Russia’s largest oil refinery in court

In this project, Pepeliaev Group’s goal was to defend the client in court (to provide legal support when the court was considering a claim submitted by Rosprirodnadzor in order to obtain a court resolution demanding that the client stop violating environmental laws and eliminate damage caused to the environment). Our work included drafting the legal position and representing our client in court. The case was considered by courts of several instances, including the Russian Supreme Court, which upheld the client’s position.

As a result of the combined efforts of our team, the client attained the result it was aiming for and eliminated the negative consequences of Rosprirodnadzor's claims that were the most significant for the client’s business.
