Drafted an application to the Russian Constitutional Court regarding the procedure for identifying the amount of environmental damage

We drafted an application to the Russian Constitutional Court and represented the client in a public hearing. The Constitutional Court announced its resolution regarding the procedure for identifying the amount of environmental damage in accordance with the Russian Forest Code.

This resolution of the Court allows the principles of environmental liability in Russia to be established, for example, in the case of an oil spillage. In particular, it was determined whether a company's expenditures on eliminating pollution on its own should be taken into account when compensation for damage to the environment is assessed.
