“Pepeliaev Group is one of the biggest law firms in Russia, with two offices in Moscow and St Petersburg and four lawyers specifically dealing with intellectual property. The team is headed by Valentina Orlova, who joined from Rospatent in April 2011, while the entire group is overseen by Alexandra Pelikh, a trade mark and patent attorney.

A good representative piece of work the firm was engaged on this year saw a team, led by Orlova and Pelikh, advising FIFA with regard to the IP issues associated with the forthcoming FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia in 2018. The same team was also called into action to defend a Finnish oil company’s trademarks, a case that Pepeliaev managed to settle before it got to court in April 2011.
