A delegation from the law firm Pepeliaev Group, consisting of Senior Partner Rustem Ahmetshin together with Partners Natalia Stenina and Ilya Bolotnov, undertook another scheduled business mission to China between 18 and 29 April 2026.
As part of the business mission, on 22 April, the experts from Pepeliaev Group held a seminar in Beijing entitled “Investing in Russia: Commercial and Legal Aspects”. The event brought together more than 70 representatives of large and medium-sized Chinese businesses. During the seminar, Rustem Ahmetshin, Natalia Stenina and Ilya Bolotnov discussed the most topical legal issues faced by foreign companies operating in Russia and shared practical recommendations. Yuri Vorobyev, a Partner at Pepeliaev Group, also spoke online at the seminar.
On 24 April, a meeting was held in Chongqing with the management of the Multifunctional Trade and Economic Platform for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Countries (SCO MTEP). The SCO MTEP multidisciplinary international platform was established in 2019 by the Administrative Committee of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and the SCO Business Council to promote the expansion of trade and economic cooperation among enterprises from the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed new opportunities for companies participating in the SCO MTEP and Pepeliaev Group to cooperate, with the aim of providing comprehensive legal support for a number of Russian-Chinese projects across various sectors of the economy.
In addition, during the business mission, representatives of Pepeliaev Group held more than 10 individual working meetings in Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing with existing and prospective clients of the firm, as well as with partner law firms.
