Tax and customs structuring of a project involving the construction of incineration plants

We have performed tax and customs structuring during the planning of a project involving the construction of five incineration plants in Moscow Region and Tatarstan. The scope of our legal services included the following: tax structuring of the joint activities of the Russian and Swiss participants of the project, advising on the tax consequences arising when the participants of the project are performing their functions, such as providing project-related and engineering services from abroad, supplying equipment both from Russian as well as foreign manufacturers, performing construction work, advising on the customs aspects of importing foreign equipment, as well as in relation to operational issues arising in the course of the implementation of the project.
