Successfully represented a client in four disputes with former employees concerning the recovery of bonus payments
Lawyers from the St Petersburg office represented the client, one of Russia's leading companies manufacturing and retailing clothing and underwear, in four court disputes. The cases involved claims brought by former employees (senior executives of the company) against their employer seeking to recover multi-million rouble incentive payments.
To justify their claims, the claimants relied on a resolution of the Board of Directors and a subsequent employer's order approving a one-off incentive payment to senior management, both of which were subsequently revoked.
Throughout the proceedings, our team successfully convinced the court that there were no grounds for the disputed bonuses to be paid and that the resolution to pay bonuses had been lawfully revoked.
As a result, the court of first instance dismissed the claims of all four claimants, which had a total value of approximately 40 million roubles.
The client's was represented by Sergey Spasennov, Senior Partner and Head of Pepeliaev Group’s St Petersburg office, and Alexandra Grischenkova, Senior Associate.
