Pepeliaev Group advises that, on 5 May 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law banning ‘zayomny trud’.

At federal level, the industry agreement has been adopted which sets additional obligations and automatically extends to companies in the oil and gas industries and to construction companies that build oil and gas facilities. To refuse to join the agreements, a well-grounded refusal should be submitted to the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection by 13 May 2014. 

Pepeliaev Group advises that, in Moscow, 7 April 2014 was set the starting date for applications to be filed to determine the level of demand for foreign national employees to be engaged to work during 2014 and 2015 ("Applications").

At the federal level, industry-specific agreements have been entered into which set out additional obligations and automatically apply to companies working in the areas of road facilities, motor, rail and above-ground city passenger transport. To refuse to join the agreements, a well-grounded refusal should be submitted to the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection by 25 March 2014.
