Pepeliaev Group has made striking progress in the Chambers Europe 2018 rankings. In Restructuring/Insolvency: Litigation Pepeliaev Group has risen to Band 3 skipping one band as compared with the last year’s results. In addition, Yulia Litovtseva, Partner and Head of the Bankruptcy and Anti-Crisis Protection of Business Practice, has shown an improvement of her own, rising to Band 4 in individual rankings. 

The firm’s lawyers successfully represented Kavminvody JSC (“Kavminvody”), a renowned producer of the Novoterskaya Tselebnaya mineral water, in the IP Court. The outcome was that the legal protection of a similar trademark owned by a bad-faith rightholder was declared invalid. 

Valentina Orlova, Head of the Intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice at Pepeliaev Group, participated in the first meeting of the working group that is preparing a draft law amending the Russian Civil Code. The changes will improve the legal regulation of the appellations of origin of goods and supplement the list of the protected IP items with a new item called a ‘geographical indication’.

Valentina Orlova, Head of the IP Practice in Pepeliaev Group, has been ranked in Band 1 of the Chambers Global individual rankings in the area of IP.

The WTR 1000 individuals rating (prosecution and strategy) has awarded a Gold rating to Valentina Orlova Head of Pepeliaev Group's Intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice.

The IP and trademark experts at Pepeliaev Group took part in the publication, writing the Russian part of the TerraLex Cross-Border Guide to Copyright 2018. 

Pepeliaev Group’s intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice is recognised as one of the best in Russia in the 'Trademark disputes' category (Tier 3), according to the leading independent international 'Managing Intellectual Property' ratings. 

Valentina Orlova, Head of IP and Trademark Practice at Pepeliaev Group, took part in a briefing from Grigory Ivliev, Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (known in Russian by the abbreviation Rospatent), which was organised by the Association of European Businesses on 10 February 2017. 

The IP lawyers at Pepeliaev Group wrote the Russian part of the Guide, which deals with copyright across the globe. It features the work of prominent lawyers from the global TerraLex network of law firms.

Influential international publication Managing Intellectual Property has rated Pepeliaev Group's Intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice highly, with the firm placed in Tier 3 in the Trademarks and Copyright category. 

Once more, World Trademark Review-1000 has hailed Valentina Orlova, Head of Pepeliaev Group's Intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice, as one of Russia's premier IP lawyers. She was placed in the 'gold' category for 2016 in the 'Individuals: prosecution and strategy' section.
