Andrey Mikulin has received a letter of gratitude from the Russian President for participating in high-priority social project
From March until July, Andrey Mikulin participated in a project organised by the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights – a hotline for questions concerning support provided in view of the spread of the coronavirus infection ( https://tass.ru/obschestvo/8121275 ). Andrey was one of 12 experts who represented law firms and attorneys’ offices. He was also included in a working group as an expert in tax and entrepreneurial law.
Over the course of the project, Andrey has provided more than 100 pieces of written advice to representatives of small and medium-sized business all over Russia and has given speeches at round table discussions. In particular, he presented his report on procedural COVID-related developments in the tax process.
“In view of the spread of the new virus, supporting people and business was one of the top-priority tasks for the state,” comments Andrey Mikulin, the Head of the Sakhalin Office of Pepeliaev Group. “A significant part of this activity is legal support for entrepreneurs in the first few months of the pandemic, where regulatory developments were ‘spontaneous’, while administrative and judicial practice was ‘situation-based’. Some of the recommendations that were put forward have been implemented in practice and in regulatory developments through the institution of business ombudsmen.”
